Unpopular take: I stopped using steam for extractions

I was at a training class in Dallas last month and the instructor spent 20 minutes on why steam is essential for extractions. Honestly, ever since I switched to just using a good enzyme mask and gentle pressure, I get way less redness and bruising on my clients. Has anyone else moved away from steam?

Devil's advocate here - maybe the client deserved it for not following safety protocols lol. Sometimes people need a harsh lesson to respect the equipment.
