Found a lash lift trick that saved me 20 minutes per client

I was struggling with the glue not holding on my silicone rods during lash lifts, tried wiping them down with alcohol first and it stuck perfectly. Has anyone else found a weird prep step that actually makes a difference?

Three months in and I've actually gone the other way - skipping the alcohol step completely on my rods. The alcohol dried them out too much and made the glue brittle for me. Stick with what works for you, but I'd test it side by side before making it a permanent prep step.

Honestly, my buddy tried the same thing on his saltwater rods and swore by it for months. Then one day a guide slipped right off the blank mid-cast and he went back to the alcohol prep immediately. Might be one of those things where it works until it doesn't.
