A client in Tampa told me my extractions were too fast and it totally changed my routine

She said, 'You're going so quick I'm flinching before you even touch the next spot,' which honestly stung a bit. I realized I was rushing to fit more clients in, but her feedback made me slow way down. Now I spend an extra five minutes just on the extraction phase, talking through each step. Has anyone else had a client call out your speed and how did you adjust?

Consider the pain relief part of the service.

Oh man, I gotta disagree a bit here. Don't get me wrong, pain relief is important, but if the massage itself is rushed or the therapist is distracted, that relief doesn't stick around long. I've had sessions where they focused so hard on one sore spot that the rest of my body felt neglected by the end. Does anyone else find that the overall flow of the massage matters just as much as targeting the pain?

Exactly, @sean_walker45, that relief is the whole reason I keep coming back, it just makes everything else feel manageable.
