Traveling for work and got stuck in an elevator in Boston! Now I'm curious how other cities deal with this. Any advice?

Man, getting stuck in a Boston elevator sounds scary. Heard their emergency crews are pretty fast though.

Boston's emergency crews are known to be fast. For example, I recall a story last year where a group was freed in under twenty minutes from an old building downtown. But is that common, or do older elevators in historic areas cause longer waits? The upkeep records for these systems might show us more about the real danger. What has your experience been with city services like that, @the_andrew?

Eh, how often does that really happen though? Most elevators get checked pretty regular even in old buildings.
