Saw a weird door gap at the new library downtown

Working on the public library job in Springfield, noticed the elevator doors had a 3/8 inch gap on the top floor. Turns out the building is settling more than they planned. Anyone dealt with a similar gap issue in a new build?

Gotta love when the building starts doing its own thing before the paint is even dry. Sounds like the architect's plans and the ground had a little disagreement. Maybe they can just call it a design feature for extra ventilation.

Read about a new condo building over on Elm that had the same problem. Doors started sticking and gaps showed up around the windows after the first year. They had to bring in a structural engineer to check the foundation. Makes you wonder what the soil report said before they started digging.
