Hit 50,000 safe rides in my elevator without a single service call
I was checking the log on unit 4B in the Henderson building last week and the counter showed 50,032 trips since the last major service. That thing hasn't had a single callout in 14 months, not even a door sensor hiccup. Has anyone else had a unit just run forever without problems, or am I just getting lucky with this one?

I used to think those older model units were just gonna be trouble no matter what, honestly. Had a buddy who swore by the Kone stuff and I thought he was just lucky. But then I saw a 2001 Otis in a building downtown hit 62,000 rides with zero callouts. Changed my whole view. That Henderson unit sounds like a real unicorn, especially with door sensors being the usual headache. Sometimes you just get a good one off the line and it hums along like a sewing machine.
