Discovered a cheap hot air station trick for stubborn glue on tablet screens

Spent an hour scraping adhesive off a Samsung tab yesterday until I remembered to preheat the frame to 90C for 2 minutes before pulling the glass. Has anyone else found a specific temp that works best for different tablet brands?

Actually tried 100C on an iPad and it melted the home button gasket. Stick to 80C for Apple stuff.

80C is safe for sure but 100C won't melt anything that fast unless it's already damaged.

Hold up, is melting a home button gasket really that easy? Seems like you'd have to be blasting it at that temp for a solid few minutes before anything bad happens.
