Hit 500 service calls last month and I am beat
Been running my own van out of Cleveland for 6 years now and October I finally cracked 500 calls in a single month. That is way more than I ever thought I'd be doing even 3 years ago. Most of them were simple panel swaps and outlet fixes but the sheer volume made me rethink my pricing. Anyone else see their call count jump like that or am I just working too hard?

You cracked 500 calls in a month and that's a lot of work. I've noticed more and more people asking for simple electrical fixes instead of calling big companies, seems like everyone's trying to save a buck these days.

...yeah I was reading something the other day about how the big electrical companies are charging almost double what they were a few years ago for simple stuff like swapping out a outlet or fixing a light switch. People are definitely catching on that calling the big guys for that kind of work means a $200 trip charge just to show up. I guess it makes sense when you think about it, a lot of those companies have huge overhead with all their trucks and sales guys. So more folks are either doing it themselves or finding a smaller local handyman who doesn't need to cover all that extra cost.

Read a post recently saying service call volume is way up everywhere with people avoiding big company prices.
