Cleared out my work van and found exactly 37 orphaned wire nuts

It was a slow Friday, so I decided to finally tackle the mess in the van. I had this old coffee can I'd just been tossing extra parts into for months... maybe years. When I dumped it out on the driveway to sort, I started counting the wire nuts. I hit 37, all different colors and sizes, just rolling around loose. The weird part is I remember being so careful to put them back in the right bins on the truck. It's like they were breeding in the dark. I guess a few slip into your pocket on every job, and they all end up in the same sad can. Has anyone else done a parts audit and been shocked by the sheer number of one specific thing you've hoarded?

My buddy found a shoebox full of mismatched screws in his garage. He swore he only saved the good ones from old furniture. The count was over two hundred, which is just insane.

Over two hundred screws in a shoebox? That's wild. I can picture it, just a mountain of slightly different lengths and thread types, all jumbled together. What do you even do with that? You'd spend more time sorting through the box to find two that match than it would take to just go buy a new pack. It's a whole furniture graveyard in there.
