Caught a mouse living in a junction box after 3 years of weird flickering lights
Finally pulled the cover off a ceiling box in a basement I've been working on and found a nest made of old wire strippings and three dead mice, the lights haven't flickered since I cleaned it out.

Read a story where someone found a whole family of squirrels living in their attic wiring, caused a ton of damage before they finally noticed. Glad you got it sorted, those little gnawers can really mess things up.

Wait, did you say a whole family of squirrels, @river_hall44? That must have been one heck of a mess. I can only imagine the noise and the smell if they were up there for a while before anyone noticed. It surprises me how long these things can go undetected, especially with the wiring damage. People really need to check their attics more often, I guess.

I found four dead rats in an attic junction box last year after chasing a flickering light for six months. The insulation on the wires was chewed right down to the copper in three spots close to the nest. I replaced the whole box and the first ten feet of Romex just to be safe, no problems since.
