That old man at Aldi told me to check the clearance freezer first and he was right

I always just grabbed stuff from the regular aisles and ignored the clearance section near the back. Some guy probably 70 years old saw me grabbing frozen pizzas and said 'check the end freezer first, they mark stuff down every Wednesday morning.' I went over and they had a whole box of those stuffed chicken breasts for like $4 each instead of $9. Now I show up around 10am on Wednesdays and usually find something good. Anyone else got a secret tip from a random stranger at the store that actually worked?

Wait, is that really the case with those clearance freezers? I used to think they were just great deals nobody noticed, not old stock that got left behind. @evan295, you might be onto something here. A while back I snagged one of those deep freezers from a big box store because it was half price, and it worked fine for about six months. Then the compressor started acting up and I found out the warranty was basically useless since it was clearance. So yeah, Ive changed my mind on those clearance freezers. Sometimes theyre decent, but more often than not theres a reason theyre sitting there collecting dust while everything else sells.
