Self checkout machine yelled at me for breathing wrong

I was at the Kroger on 3rd street yesterday and that self checkout screen kept flashing "unexpected item in bagging area" every 3 seconds. I had literally ONE milk jug and a box of crackers. The attendant had to come over 4 times to reset it because it thought my arm was a misplaced grocery item. Has anyone else had a machine just absolutely lose its mind over nothing?

Blame that dang plastic bag every time - it freaks out over air molecules.

Man that plastic bag thing is actually a perfect example of why we can't just blame one thing for our outdoor gear issues. Like yeah the bag is annoying but have you ever thought about how the material itself changes when it gets hot or cold? I swear my tent fly feels totally different in the morning after a cold night compared to when the sun hits it.

Does the bagging area at Kroger even make sense for small orders anymore... or is it just designed to yell at the quiet ones who don't fit the machine's perfect arm flow?
