Found a way to skip the 15-item limit line at Aldi in Charlotte

I always get stuck behind someone with a full cart in the express lane at the Aldi on Central Avenue. Last Tuesday I tried going through the self-checkout with my 8 items and it was way faster. Has anyone else figured out a solid workaround for those long lines?

That late night trick is GENIUS, I might have to try that South Blvd location sometime. For the self-checkout hack though, I always make sure I grab a basket instead of a cart because it looks way more casual when you roll up with just a handful of stuff. Another thing that works for me is checking the app for their weekly ad before I go - if I know exactly what I need and don't wander around, I'm in and out in like 12 minutes tops. The real key is avoiding the rush between 5 and 6 PM though, that's when the lines back up past the bagging area every single time.

Have you tried going at the very end of the night, like 20 minutes before they close? I always hit the Aldi off of South Boulevard around 8:45 PM and the lines are basically gone. That self-checkout hack is SOLID though, I started using it when I've got 10 or less items and it saves a good 10 minutes easy.
