Watched a guy try to mud his own garage in Phoenix last weekend - took him 6 hours to do one sheet

Wait, 6 hours for ONE sheet of drywall? Dude, that's insane even for a first timer. Did he have the wrong tools or was he trying to tape and mud it all at once? I've seen people struggle with mudding before but that's next level pain. Phoenix heat must have made it dry in like 10 minutes too, so he probably had to keep remixing everything. Honestly I'm kinda impressed he stuck with it that long without just giving up and calling a pro.

Nah, I gotta give him some credit. Six hours on one sheet is brutal but we've all been there with some stupid project that just snowballs. Probably started with a bad cut, then tried to fix it, then the mud started setting up weird in that dry heat. I've definitely spent way too long fighting with a single piece of something just because I was too stubborn to walk away and start fresh.
