Took a tip from an old timer about wetting my paper tape
Old guy on a crew in Denver told me to dip my paper tape in water before applying it to inside corners. Has anyone else found this helps with bubbles or am I just doing something weird?

That "dip it in water" thing works but you're overcomplicating it. You don't actually dunk the whole roll. Just run it under the faucet for a second then squeeze out the extra water. The real trick is letting it sit for 30 seconds before you smooth it down. Let the paper get fully wetted out. I tried the dunk method once and ended up with a soggy mess that wouldn't stick to anything. Old timer's advice is solid though. Just gotta dial in how wet it gets.

Cold water works better than hot for soaking because it doesn't soften the glue too fast.
