Shoutout to the old timer who showed me how to stagger seams properly
Been hanging board for about 2 years now. Thought I had it figured out. Then last month on a job in Greenville, this guy in his 60s walks by my wall and just says "you're gonna get a crack right there in 6 months." Pointed out my butt joints were lined up across a doorway. Showed me how to offset them by at least 2 feet and stagger the whole layout different. Fixed it and the finish guys even commented it looked better. Anyone else have some old school trick that made a big difference?
