My vaulted ceiling job went smoother with a bevel gauge

I was hanging drywall on a vaulted ceiling and the angles were off. Using a bevel gauge to match the slope helped me cut the panels right. What methods do you use for angled walls?

Huh, I always just measure from the floor.

Using the floor as a guide is often wrong. If it's not flat, your numbers are off. Pick a steady spot to begin.

Yeah, the "steady spot" thing is key. I learned that the hard way tiling a bathroom. Found one high point on the subfloor with a long level, marked it, and ran everything from that line. Saved me from some weird slivers at the end.
