Bought a brand new drywall lift thinking it'd speed me up and instead spent 45 minutes fighting it on the stairs.

Turns out my old rusty one fits through doorways better because the legs are slightly bent, so I learned to never trust a smooth upgrade without measuring first, has anyone else had a supposed upgrade turn into a bigger headache?

Hell yeah. New stuff is supposed to work better, not worse. I've had a brand new cordless drill that wouldn't fit in a tight spot my old corded one slipped right into. Bent legs sound like they gave you just enough clearance to actually get the job done. Fancy upgrades usually mean more time fiddling and less time working.

Those bent legs probably saved you more time than your new fancy one ever will.
