Switched to a 4-inch dredge nozzle after 3 years of 6-inch - got more yardage in one day

Tbh I thought bigger nozzle meant more material, but my buddy at the St. Mary's job talked me into trying his 4-inch setup on a tight spot. Turned out I moved 22 tons of sand in 6 hours without clogging once. Has anyone else found that downsizing actually boosts production in certain conditions?

Funny how we all think bigger is better until you're fighting clogs all day and getting half the production. Guess that's why you don't see a monster truck winning any drag races.

Different situation though @harper_wright, a 4-inch just can't match a 6-inch's volume.
