Swapped out my old wire rope for synthetic line and it's a whole different job now

Used wire rope on my dredge for like 7 years. Always fighting kinks and frayed ends. Finally switched to synthetic last spring after I busted a knuckle real bad on a broken wire strand. Anyone else make the switch and find it way easier on the hands?

I mean I switched over last year and my hands finally don't look like I've been arm wrestling a rusty chainsaw, so that's a win.

I tore a chunk out of my thumb on a broken strand last august, that was the last straw for me. Switched to synthetic on my main winch line and its like night and day, no more fighting with rust or picking steel splinters out of my palms. My hands actually heal up now instead of being a constant mess of cuts and callouses.
