Old timer told me to stop running the cutterhead so fast
Had a veteran operator watch my setup on a job near Baton Rouge last month. He said I was chewing up sand with the cutter at full RPM for no reason. Told me to drop it to 60% and let the pump do the work. Cut my fuel use by almost 25% and still moved the same yards per hour. Anyone else had to unlearn bad habits from being too aggressive?

25% less fuel sounds like a gimmick, maybe he just wanted you to slow down.
