Noticed my dig rate jump after I slowed down the swing speed

I was running a project on the Mississippi back in August, trying to push material fast like always. My cutter was cavitating like crazy and I couldn't figure out why. Old timer came by and told me to drop my swing speed from 30 to 20 degrees per minute. Within two hours my production numbers went up almost 15 percent. Anybody else find that running slower actually gets more done?

That "push material fast like always" part hit me hard because that was me for years. I had the same wakeup call on a job in Georgia and it changed my whole approach.
