Wasted $60 on a cheap drafting stool from Amazon
Bought this no-name stool off Amazon for $60 three months ago. The gas cylinder gave out last week, dropped me right onto the concrete floor. Anyone else get burned by cheap office furniture for your drafting table?

Oh man, same thing happened to me with a $50 one I grabbed. @williams90 I hear you on the floor level check but honestly the cylinder just plain failed on mine too. Total waste of money, right?

Did you check if the floor was level before you sat down?

My $60 chair had the cylinder go out in 3 months. The floor was dead flat, I checked with a level before I even unboxed it. These budget chairs just use cheap gas lifts that fail no matter what. You can get a replacement cylinder online for 20 bucks but it feels like a scam to have to fix a new chair.
