PSA: Check your scale calibration before a big print run
I spent 3 days laying out a 40-sheet commercial set for a client in Austin and the measurements were off by nearly a quarter inch on every sheet. Turns out my digital scale was reading 1/16 low the whole time because I didn't zero it after moving it to a new table. Anyone else had a hidden tool glitch waste hours of drafting time?

Ngl that quarter inch thing is absolutely brutal. I had a similar nightmare with a tape measure where the hook got bent and I didn't realize for like two weeks. It threw off every single stud layout on a basement finish job and I had to redo half the framing. Honestly that sinking feeling when you finally figure out the tool was lying to you the whole time is the worst. Tbh I still double check my scale against a known ruler before every big layout now.

@holly_green82 that tape measure betrayal is real.

Did you ever figure out what bent your tape hook in the first place, or was it just a random manufacturing defect?
