I finally untangled a huge dimensioning mess on a set of foundation plans

Spent a full 8 hours trying to clean up overlapping witness lines and text on a 30 sheet set because the previous drafter had no layer discipline. I had to rebuild the entire dimension style from scratch and audit every single viewport. What's your go-to method for fixing someone else's chaotic drawing setup?

Man, I used to just try and clean up the mess layer by layer. Now I just wipe all the dims and start fresh with a new style. It feels like more work at first, but it's way faster than chasing down every single override.

My last project had 200 dims with overrides. Starting over took two hours, but fixing them one by one would have taken all week. It's the only way to actually reset the system.
