Hot take: People are still not using their layer states manager enough
Honestly, I see it all the time in our office. Drafters will have a huge set of plans with 50 plus layers and they're manually turning them on and off for each view. It's a huge waste of time and it's so easy to mess up. I set up a full set of layer states for a 12-story apartment project last month, one for floor plans, one for reflected ceilings, one for demo, you get it. It took me maybe an hour to set up, but it saves me 10 minutes every single time I switch between drawings. The key is to be super specific with the names so you know exactly what you're getting. How many of you are actually using this tool for your big jobs, or are you still doing it the old way?

Honestly, that sounds like way more setup work than it's worth for me.

Consider how much time you'll save later though. A little extra work now can stop bigger problems from showing up later. It's like cleaning a filter before it gets totally clogged.

My buddy ignored that "clean the filter" idea and his whole system froze last week. Mila_king22, it really does turn into a huge mess.
