City surveyors in my area inspired a new drafting approach

I noticed surveyors working on a street redesign project in my neighborhood. It made me think about better ways to structure my CAD layers for civil drawings. What's your go-to method for handling survey data in your drafts?

Wait, are you talking about survey data or just layer organization? In my experience, the raw survey points usually come in on their own file, so you don't actually layer that data itself.

Most shops I know still end up layering the CAD file.
