Can we talk about sketching rough drafts by hand first

Honestly, I used to jump straight into CAD for everything. Watching a senior drafter fix a complex angle issue with a quick napkin sketch changed my mind. Now I always rough it out on paper before opening any software.

Hearing that napkin sketch fix blew my mind, and @theahall nails why paper first works.

Seeing that everywhere now, from cooking to coding. Paper first cuts through the noise.

Totally, it forces you to slow down and actually think the steps through. I sketch out a rough plan for even simple repairs before I grab my tools. That clarity before you start is what really saves time.
