When cheap casters met heavy glue bottles, I learned a lesson

I had to choose between $6 plastic casters from Harbor Freight or spending $25 on rubber ones. Went cheap obviously, and my workbench became a runaway cart after I loaded it with three gallons of wood glue. Now I have glue drips across half my garage floor and a bench that wobbles on three wheels. Anyone else regret a hardware store bargain that turned into a cleanup project?

That "kick straight every time" part sounds like you already accepted the deal.

Did you at least try to glue the broken caster back on before the bench took off? I feel your pain though, I grabbed a $5 bag of chipboard screws once and watched my shelf collapse under a stack of paint cans... ended up with a rainbow puddle all over my concrete floor. Sometimes the cheap stuff is really just a trap, and you pay for it twice with all the clean up. I still have a couple of those Harbor Freight casters on a cart that I have to kick straight every time I move it.
