TIL a $3 furniture pad solves my bench wobble problem
My workbench has rocked side to side for two years, ever since I built it from scrap pallets. Leveling feet were $12 a pair and I needed four, which hurt my cheap soul. Last week I shoved a sticky-backed felt pad under the short corner and it leveled out perfect. Cost me three bucks for a pack of eight at the hardware store. Now the bench doesn't dance when I hand-plane, and I can use the other seven pads for chair legs. Anyone else got a janky fix they're oddly proud of?
