Picked a $20 pipe clamp over the fancy Bessey for my bench glue-up

I was building a new workbench top and needed to clamp 8 boards together. Decided to try the cheap Harbor Freight clamps instead of dropping $60 each on the Bessey ones. They held tight for 24 hours and my glue joints came out perfect, so I saved $320 total.

Bought a six-pack of those clamps last year and three of them snapped on the first use.
