My neighbor's pool noodle trick for edger storage finally clicked

He said to slice a noodle lengthwise and hot glue it under the bench to hold the edger blade up, and after 4 years of nicking myself on the old one I tried it last Tuesday. The blade stays off the concrete and I can grab it one-handed, has anyone else found a dumb simple fix that you kept putting off for no reason?

Took me way too long to put a magnetic strip on the inside of my cabinet door for my trowels and float. Kept knocking them over every time I reached for something else, and now it's just grab and go. Honestly, the whole project cost me like eight bucks and ten minutes, but I sat on the idea for two years because I figured it would be a hassle. Ngl, the second I did it I was annoyed at myself for all the years of digging tools out of a pile.
