That time a repair shop worker showed me my phone's battery was swollen

I dropped my phone off at a small repair shop in Austin last month because the screen was acting up. The guy behind the counter took one look at it and said 'hey, your battery is puffing up, you gotta fix that before anything else.' He pried the back off and showed me the battery was actually bulging a little. I had no idea that could even happen, I just thought the phone felt warm sometimes. He swapped it for $40 and my screen issues went away too. Has anyone else had a random battery issue that caused other problems?

That repair guy saved you some headache right there. In my experience, a lot of small problems in everyday life are actually signs of a bigger root cause we just ignore because it's easier. Once you fix the real issue, all those other little annoyances usually clear up on their own.
