Switched from canned air to a rechargeable duster for cleaning PC parts
I used to blow out my desktop tower every 3 months with canned air until I got sick of buying new cans for $8 each. Picked up a rechargeable electric duster for $40 last month and it's way stronger plus no condensation issues. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference in static buildup?

Wait, your buddy Greg had that happen? I had a friend who used a rechargeable duster on his PC and his GPU started acting weird right after. He couldn't figure out what was wrong, ended up having to replace the whole card a month later. He never could prove it was the duster but he swore that's what messed it up.

My buddy Greg fried his motherboard with static from canned air last year.

No way, seriously? I always thought canned air was safe for electronics, it's literally meant for this stuff. Greg must have had some seriously bad luck or been doing something wrong. That sucks though, frying a motherboard is an expensive mistake.
