Spent $12 on a heat gun and fixed my iPhone screen in 10 minutes

My iPhone 11 had a busted screen for like 3 months. I kept putting off paying $150 at a repair shop. Finally looked up a guide and realized all I needed was a cheap heat gun from Harbor Freight. Used it to soften the old adhesive, popped the screen off with a suction cup, and swapped in a $35 replacement kit. Whole job took maybe 10 minutes once I had the tools. Has anyone else tried doing their own phone repairs with basic stuff like a hair dryer or heat gun?

Hold up wait, $150 for a hair dryer trick? That is ABSURD. I could literally buy a top of the line heat gun on Amazon for thirty bucks and fix the screen myself in like ten minutes. You could even use your OWN hair dryer from the bathroom for FREE and save all that cash. Whoever is charging that much is just praying on people who don't know any better.
