I used to think you needed special tools to fix a broken phone screen
I cracked my old Pixel 3's screen last year and almost threw it out. Then I watched a video from a guy in Austin who fixed his with a hair dryer, a guitar pick, and a $25 kit from Amazon. The heat loosens the adhesive way better than any fancy tool. Has anyone else tried the hair dryer trick on newer phones, or is it too risky now?

Actually used a hair dryer on a Pixel 7 last month. It still works fine, you just have to be more patient with the heat. The real trick is getting the right plastic tool to pry without damaging the frame.

Ugh, I feel that struggle. My friend tried fixing his screen and the glue was like cement. He had to use a heat gun on low and still cracked the back glass. It's a whole different game now.

Oh man, I saw a whole thread about this. People were saying newer phones have more glue and it's a real pain now. Makes you wonder if the hair dryer even gets hot enough anymore.
