Crossed 50 phone repairs this year without replacing a single screen

My buddy runs a repair shop and said most people just swap screens. I wanted to see if I could fix cracked screens instead. Used a $15 UV light and LOCA glue kit, saved myself around $1,200 this year. Anyone else try screen repairs instead of swaps?

Did you have any trouble with the LOCA glue curing evenly on curved screens?

Oh man, curved screens are a total pain with LOCA glue. I've done maybe a dozen curved ones now and the trick is to use a low-viscosity glue and let it sit for a few minutes before you press the screen down. If you go too fast, you get bubbles in the curve that just won't go away no matter how much you squeeze. I also started using a heat pad set to like 45C for the full cure instead of just a UV lamp, that helped a ton with the edges being tacky.
