Wasted $60 on a cheap electric sit-stand frame that burned out in 3 months

Saw this motorized frame on Amazon for $60, thought it was a steal for my WFH desk upgrade. Motor died after like 90 days of light use, now I'm stuck with a manual desk again. Anyone else get burned by those budget Amazon frames?

The return window on Amazon is usually only 30 days, so you might have missed your chance. But check if the seller offered any kind of warranty - sometimes those cheap frames have a 1-year warranty buried in the listing.

I read a review on Wirecutter a while back that said most budget sit-stand frames under $100 use these really cheap generic motors that just aren't built to last. @harper_wright is right about checking the warranty, I've seen some sellers hide a 1-year thing in the product description but you gotta scroll way down past the sales copy. The problem is those $60 frames are probably just repackaged versions of the same Chinese unit with a different logo slapped on it. I mean even the mid-range ones from brands like Vivo or Flexispot are a lot more reliable for maybe $100-$150 more. idk if you've tried contacting the seller directly through Amazon messages, sometimes theyll issue a partial refund or send a replacement to avoid a bad review.
