Talked to a woodworker about lifting my desk for cable access
I was at a hardware store in Tacoma last week complaining about how hard it is to run new cables under my heavy oak desk, and an old guy next to me just said, "Flip the legs upside down, works every time." It hit me different because I'd been wrestling with wedges and blocks for an hour when the answer was just unscrewing the legs and reversing them. Has anyone else done this trick or got a better way to lift a desk a few inches without building a whole new frame?

Oh man, that's genius! I flipped my kitchen table legs last month, game changer.

Wait, did you actually flip the legs or did you flip the table over to use the other side? I keep seeing people say "flip the legs" when they REALLY mean they just took them off and turned them around or switched them out for different ones. I tried that with my old farm table and ended up with the legs at a weird angle because the screw holes were on the wrong side. Had to drill new ones and it looked TERRIBLE. So just checking if you literally flipped the whole table or just messed with the legs.
