Spent 4 hours sanding my desk top only to realize I used the wrong grit
I was refinishing this old oak door I found on Facebook Marketplace for $20 to use as a desk, and I started with 60 grit sandpaper thinking I'd save time. Big mistake, lol, it left deep scratches that took forever to fix with 120 grit afterward. Has anyone else messed up the sanding order on a budget desk build?

60 grit was the right call for stripping paint, not smoothing wood though.

Hilarious how life's just picking the right tool for the wrong job and dealing with it.
