Rant: The "ergonomic" desk at that office supply showroom is a scam

Went to the big furniture outlet off Route 9 last Tuesday with my buddy to check out sit-stand frames. The floor model they push hard, the one with the fancy gas lift, it wobbles like crazy once you get it past elbow height. I measured the play with my tape, almost half an inch at the front edge. My $60 DIY setup from two old sawhorses and a solid core door is more stable at full extension. They quoted $400 for that thing, plus $120 for a clamp-on tray that I've built for less than 20 bucks in scrap wood. How are they still selling these to folks who don't know any better? Has anyone else walked into one of these stores and just laughed at the price tags?
