Just spent 4 hours fixing a desk leg I built wrong
Was building a corner desk for my apartment here in Austin. Got all the lumber cut, assembled the frame, and then realized I measured the back leg 3 inches too short. My whole cross brace didn't line up. Had to disassemble half the desk, cut a new piece, and reinforce the joint with some brackets I had leftover from another project. Took way longer than I planned but the desk is solid now. Anyone else ever have a dumb measuring mistake set them back hours?

Oh man I did something similar when I built a bookshelf. I cut all the shelves the same length then realized I measured the depth wrong so they stuck out a full inch on one side. Ended up just shaving them all down with a hand plane took forever but they fit now.
