Can we talk about using cheap bed frames as desk legs?
I picked up a used twin bed frame for $10 at a garage sale last month and cut the side rails down to 29 inches for a standing desk setup. The metal frame legs bolted right into a solid core door I got for $30 at a salvage place. Has anyone else tried repurposing furniture parts instead of buying actual desk kits?

Same here - I used a cheap twin frame for a monitor riser and it worked way better than buying those overpriced plastic stands. That solid core door idea is genius, definitely trying that next time.

That solid core door idea" is actually something I saw someone do with a vintage door they found at a salvage yard. Looked way better than anything from IKEA for half the cost. Might be worth checking local habitat for humanity stores first.
