A guy at Home Depot made me question my whole desk setup
So I was grabbing some sandpaper last weekend and started chatting with this older dude in the lumber aisle. He saw my cart with a new top board and some brackets and asked what I was building. I told him about my dual monitor desk setup, the one I spent like 80 bucks on and took 3 evenings to finish. He just nodded and said 'why are you running two arms when one heavy duty mount would hold both and free up the back edge?'
Honestly, that hit different because I never even considered it. I had two separate cheap mounts because my monitors are different sizes, 24 and 27 inches. But he had a point about the vibration too, my left screen shakes a bit when I type hard. Has anyone else switched from two mounts to one big one and noticed a real difference in stability? Or is it just overkill?

Ngl, 80 bucks for that rig is a steal, but vibration comes from weak arms, not the count.
