Vent: Broke my PS5 shell trying to swap LED strips last night
Three years ago I modded my Switch without any issues, so I figured the PS5 would be just as easy. Last night I was in my garage in Nashville carefully prying off the side panel, and a plastic clip snapped clean off. Turns out the PS5 uses these brittle little tabs that break if you look at them wrong. Anyone else had luck with aftermarket shells that actually fit right?

Skip those aftermarket shells honestly. The originals are already super fragile, so swapping them out is just asking for more broken tabs.

Bet on the aftermarket shells being way tougher than Sony's plastic garbage. I busted a clip on my first swap, but the replacement has held up through three more teardowns with zero issues.
