Unpopular opinion: screw the heat shrink, plain electrical tape worked better on my Switch fan mod

Taped the fan wires down with 3M Super 33+ after my heat shrink tube kept slipping off the connector in a tight fit near the heat pipe. Six months of daily use later, no shorts, no noise, and it was way easier to redo when I swapped the fan last week. Anyone else skip the fancy stuff for plain tape in cramped shells?

Tape never fails in tight spots, heat shrink can go jump.
