Spent 2 full days on a PS5 fan swap that should take 45 minutes.

I tried to swap the fan in my launch PS5 for a quieter model and ran into a nightmare getting the PSU connector off that ribbon cable. Turns out the plastic clip was recessed way deeper than I thought and I was prying wrong the whole time. Has anyone else spent way too long on one tiny clip and felt like an idiot?

nah hard disagree with you and @jones.brooke on this one. the clip is designed to be a little tricky so you dont break something more expensive. i did my fan swap in 47 minutes flat including coffee break. you guys are getting mad because you rush it instead of watching a 2 minute youtube vid first. if you look at the clip from the right angle it pops off with no force at all. sony put that clip there for a reason otherwise youd have people yanking the ribbon cable out and frying the whole psu. sometimes the "hard" part is actually the safety feature keeping your console alive.
