Hit 50 successful shell swaps on the Switch OLED without breaking a ribbon cable
I started modding Switches about 8 months ago. Mostly just transparent shells and button swaps for friends. Last night I hit 50 shell swaps on the OLED model without snapping any of those tiny ribbon cables inside. The first one took me almost 3 hours and I was shaking the whole time. Now I can do one in about 25 minutes with my eyes almost closed. Has anyone else noticed how the OLED ribbon cables feel a bit more fragile than the original model?

Honestly I used to think the OLED cables were tougher but you changed my mind.

Question whether it's really that big of a deal. I mean, if the cable works and doesn't fray or break in a week, who cares if it's OLED-rated or not? People get so caught up in specs and labels for stuff that's just gonna sit in a drawer most of the time. My old HDMI cables still work fine on my 4K TV, and I've never bothered to check what they're rated for.
