Fan swap on my PS5 turned into a 3 hour nightmare

I was swapping out the stock fan for a quieter Noctua in my living room last Saturday. Everything was going fine until I dropped one of the tiny ribbon cable clips off my desk and spent 45 minutes fishing it out from under the entertainment center. When I finally got it back in, the fan wouldn't spin because I'd plugged the cable in upside down. Has anyone else had those little clips just fly off into the void?

Those little clips are basically designed to test your patience. Every tiny connector in a console feels like it was made to launch itself into the nearest dark corner if you look at it wrong. The upside down cable thing is just the universe's way of telling you to triple check stuff before buttoning it back up.

That one time I spent twenty minutes hunting for a screw that vanished into thin air, only to find it had somehow rolled into a shoe I hadn't worn in months. Maybe it's just me, but I swear those things have tiny legs and a sense of humor. It's like the console itself is pranking you for even trying to fix it.
