Warning: got scammed on a $1,100 Airbnb in Lisbon and had nowhere to sleep
I booked a place in Lisbon for the whole month of March and paid $1,100 upfront through a listing with good reviews, but when I showed up at the door the key code didn't work and the unit was rented to someone else. I called Airbnb for two days straight, sent photos and screenshots to support, and ended up crashing on a hostel couch for 4 nights while I fought for a refund. Has anyone else gotten double booked like this, and did you get your money back or just eat the loss?

That "key code didn't work" nightmare happened to me, screenshot everything and call your bank.
